The following are recommended mowing heights for the most popular lawn grasses. In most areas and situations, a lawn will look good when mowed at any height within the range for its grass type.

lawn mowers are have a few major differences from the normal type of mower. These are as the description suggests self propelled. Effectively these mowers pull themselves along requiring minimal effort from the opperator. The user only has to steer the machine. Another benefit of these mowers is that they are able to pull themselves up inclines this is particulary useful for uneven lawns.

Great resource. I just dugg it for reference. All though the grasses can be cut in those ranges most of these grasses should be cut toward the top of their ranges to allow for more growth, nutrient and water uptake and resistance. Also don’t cut more than a third of the blade when cutting.
